How to Calculate Unilorin cut off mark

UNILORIN ADMISSION: WHAT IS THE RIGHT CALCULATION FOR TOTAL AGGREGATE

For the O’level (20%) A1 = 6 Points, B2 = 5, B3 = 4, C4 = 3, C5 = 2, C6 = 1. Possible points from the 5 relevant subjects is 30.That is 6×5=30. So, in converting this point to 20%. We are going to divide your points by 30 and multiply by 20%. For example, a student with the following O’level results: English B2 = 5, Maths. C4 = 3, Chem. C5 = 2, Phy. C4 = 3, Bio A1 = 6 which is a total of 19 Points.

Now divide the 19 points by 30 and multiply by 20% .i.e. 19÷30×20% = 12.67. Therefore, the student scored 12.67 out of 20 in the O’level hope you understand the 12.67 from the above. This will be added to the POST-UTME SCORE AND UTME OR DE SCORE. Assumed your post-UTME score to be 15 out of 30, this can be explained below

For the IJMB or ANY A Level, (50%)

Divide your points by the total possible points (16) and multiply by 50%. For example, a student that has 8 points we have the percentage calculated as:8÷16×50% = 25.Therefore, the student scored 25 out of 50 for IJMB A LEVEL

For JAMB (50%). Your UTME score is divided by 400 multiplied by 50%.

For example, for a student that scored 180 we have the percentage calculated as:180÷400×50% = 22. Therefore, the student scored 22.5 out of 50 for JAMB. Now, let’s do the total aggregates from the two examples above using the same O Level result:

Example 1

for IJMB A LEVEL ABOVE. The candidate scores are as follows: O level result =12.67, Ijmb Alevel = 25, POST UTME =15. Aggregate total= 52.67%

With the above, he or she is qualified to be admitted, although he or she may not meet up with some courses cut off. Take note of that. But he or she is qualified.

Example 2

For the jamb candidate as above, Olevel result =12.67, Jamb score = 22.5, Post UTME score =15, Total aggregate = 50.1. He or she is qualified too, but may not apply to some important courses. That’s how unilorin cut off mark is calculated
